To Where All Senses Are Attuned

 20.02.2021

To Where All Senses Are Attuned

As the sun sets over the horizon
Orange streaks into dark rose melds
Gradually seeping into violet,
And the blackness steadily descends.

But the beauty of that changing canvas
Now with twinkling stars festooned
Loses out to a broken heart
To where all senses are attuned.

The soundless keening cries of loss
In the air abounds
And that eerie silence
Blots out all other sounds.

As the night progresses
The longing in intensity grows
To be loved, cherished and protected
By the one that one adores.

And the sky grows darker
Into the predawn black
Matching emotions perfectly
The 'Lack-Of-Hope' pitch-black.

The sun rises over the horizon
And the dawn sky steadily loads
From sombre grey, to violet to pink
Cheerful blue, making inroads.

But the beauty of that changing canvas
With fluffy clouds now festooned
Loses out to a broken heart
To where all senses are attuned.
