A Helping Hand


I’ve prayed in all earnestness
For your safety and protection
If my prayers have been heard in toto
I‘m grateful for that benediction.


I knew of actions against you,
That you were unaware of
I did all that I possibly could
To protect you from that vicious rot.


For it I’ve had to pay a price,
But I don’t regret it at all
For someone, sometime did the same for me
And protected me from a serious fall.


I know that when the time is right
You’ll stick your neck out too
And save some unsuspecting soul
Whose life is being unglued.
